Shockwave Therapy

A non-invasive treatment effective for both acute and chronic pain, with no side effects that prevent repeat sessions.

What Is Shockwave Therapy?

A Powerful Option That's Neither Surgery Nor an Injection

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) focuses high-energy acoustic waves on the site of pain, stimulating tissue repair and providing rapid pain relief.

It can be applied to acute pain as well as chronic pain that has persisted for a long time. It is especially effective for soft-tissue injuries — tendons, ligaments, and fascia — and can even be considered for chronic pain that hasn't responded to other treatments.

Side effects are rare, so repeated sessions place little physical burden on the body.

Because focused shockwaves concentrate energy precisely on a single point, the treatment point and energy intensity settings determine how effective the therapy will be. At Seoul Jungseok Orthopedic Clinic, our orthopedic specialist personally handles this critical step.

Effective for Both Acute and Chronic Pain
Beyond chronic pain, it can also aid pain relief and recovery in the early stages of an acute injury.
Low Side Effects Allow Repeat Treatment
Because side effects are minimal, the treatment can be repeated multiple times without significant physical strain.
Promotes Tissue Regeneration
Shockwave energy improves blood flow to the injured area and supports the body's natural healing process.
Settings Adjusted Personally by Our Specialist
Our orthopedic specialist personally sets the treatment point and energy intensity. For focused shockwave therapy, this setting is the key variable that determines treatment outcomes.
